Capt. Adam Faul, a Marine Attack Squadron 211 AV-8B Harrier pilot, leans in to give his wife Lauren a kiss after returning from a seven-month deployment to Afghanistan’s Helmand Province. Faul and approximately 20 other Avengers returned to Marine Corps Air Station Yuma the morning of Sept. 22, part of an advance team responsible for setting up everything the rest of the squadron will need upon their arrival. “I’m very excited and relieved to have him home,” said Lauren. “It’s been a long deployment.” The squadron was touched by tragedy Sept. 14, after an attack on their positions at Camp Bastion killed two Marines and injured several others.
