Over 30 Crash, Fire and Rescue Marines aboard MCAS Yuma gained a stronger understanding of how to exercise their right to vote through a short informational brief and follow on questions/answer session provided by the MCAS Yuma Installation Voting Assistance Officer, Capt. Staci Reidinger on Oct. 12. The brief included information on why voting is important, voter turn-out statistics on the 2008 Presidential Election, how to decide where to vote, how to register and an introduction to the Federal Voting Assistance Program website capabilities. If your department is interested in receiving an IVAO brief tailored around specific voter questions, please contact Capt. Reidinger at (928)269-3609 or your unit voting assistance officer.
