A UC-12B Huron made its final voyage to a display area with a little help from a crane, Oct. 24 at Marine Corps Air Station Yuma. Considered an aviation workhorse and utilized for transport and cargo missions as well as support of military operations between naval stations, MCAS Yuma found it appropriate to retain one UC-12B to add to the station’s Aviation Memorial.
The UC-12B was replaced by the newer UC-12F model that has upgraded avionics and increased horsepower.
