MARINE CORPS AIR STATION MIRAMAR, Ca – A CH-53E Super Stallion lands aboard Marine Corps Air Station Miramar, Calif., Nov.29. Capt. Charlene “Cindy Lou” Wyman, a pilot with Marine Medium Helicopter Squadron 462, 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing, and a Denver, Colo., native, instructs other pilots as they practice the exercise.

MARINE CORPS BASE CAMP PENDELTON, Ca – Private First Class Jeff Pieters, a machine-gunner serving with 2nd Battalion, 5th Marine Regiment, teaches Cpl. Robert Pradeep, a machine-gunner serving with 3rd Battalion Singapore Guards, the proper firing procedures of the M2 .50-caliber machine gun while conducting here, Dec. 3 during Exercise Valiant Mark 2012. Pieters, a 25 year-old native of Los Angeles, said the guardsmen quickly learned functions of the weapon system and were excited about applying it on a live-fire range.

Supai, Arizona – Marines with Marine Medium Helicopter Squadron (HMM) 764 fly to the Havasupai tribe on the Grand Canyon floor Dec. 4, 2012. The Marines helped load gear and volunteers with Flagstaff Marine League Charities and Flagstaff Toys for Tots organization on the CH-46E Sea Knight helicopters in order to bring holiday spirit to the most isolated tribe in America.
