ALASKA "” An Alaska Air National Guard HC-130P/N King flies over Alaska with its aerial refueling hoses extended March 14, 2012. The HC-130P/N is an extended-range version of the C-130 Hercules transport.

NELLIS AIR FORCE BASE, Nev. “” Maj. Caroline Jensen, Thunderbird 3, Right Wing pilot and her dedicated crew chief, Staff Sgt. Tacota LeMuel pose for a portrait at the Thunderbird hangar, Nellis Air Force Base, Nev., March 2, 2012. Maj. Jensen is the Thunderbirds’ first female reservist demonstration pilot. Sgt. LeMuel is one of two female crew chiefs assigned to the Thunderbirds and the only female dedicated crew chief on this year’s showline. LAS VEGAS, Nev. “” The U.S. Air Force Air Demonstration Squadron, the Thunderbirds, fly over the Las Vegas Motor Speedway during the opening ceremonies of the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Kobalt Tools 400 race March 11, 2012. This year marks the 30th season the squadron has performed in the F-16 Fighting Falcon, the Air Force’s premier multi-role fighter aircraft.
