For a full look at scheduled activities for Nellis agencies with posted event calendars, go to www.nellis.af.mil/eventcalendars.asp.

Deployed, extended military members to receive discounted water/sewer rates: The Clark County Water Reclamation District, through a partnership with Nellis and  Creech Air Force  Bases Public Partnerships Office and the Legal Office will offer a reduced “Military Relief Rate” to members of the Armed Forces whose homes will be unoccupied due to military orders. Generally, this time period should be for more than one month. There is no outer time limit for the discount; it will apply for the duration of the orders. Since the discount is being offered through Clark County Water Reclamation District, this policy applies primarily to homes in unincorporated areas of Clark County only. Members who receive utility service/billing from the cities of Las Vegas, North Las Vegas, or Henderson are not eligible for the discounted rate. To secure the reduced rate, military members can obtain a copy of the form from the Legal Office, the Airman and Family Readiness Center, or the Clark County Water Reclamation District offices at 5857 E. Flamingo Drive. The form and a copy of military orders should be filed with the Clark County Water Reclamation District. For more information, please contact the Legal Office in building 18, the Airman and Family Readiness Center, or your First Sergeant.

Releasing information to the public: All Air Force military and civilian personnel, including Air National Guard and Air Force Reserve personnel on active duty, and civilians under DoD contract who are stationed at Nellis Air Force Base and who intend to release military-related information to the public should contact the Nellis Public Affairs Office at 702-652-2750 and request a Security and Policy Review of their information. The security and policy review program, established by the Secretary of Defense, is designed to protect the U.S. Government, Department of Defense and individual DoD members. The program provides expert review of information proposed by DoD members for public release to ensure it does not contain classified material and does not conflict with established DoD or national policy.

Trespass Notice: The Nellis Small Arms Ranges are located on a 32-square-mile area at the north end of Range Road. This property is set aside for small arms firing and could present a serious danger to trespassers. Unexploded ordinance could be located throughout the area and would pose a hazard if handled by untrained personnel. Trespassing on the ranges or any unauthorized entry into the range complex is illegal. For more information on range boundaries or to report instances of trespassing, contact the Nellis Combat Arms Section at 702-652-5562 or 702-652-7644 or the Nellis Law Enforcement Desk at 702-652-2311 or 702-652-2312.

The three types of classes offered are: Men (E1-E8 and O1-O3), Women (E1-E8 and O1-O3) and Leadership (E9, first sergeants, and O4 and above).
