Military spouses were offered free massages to help them to relax and unwind, and as a way of showing the base’s appreciation for their support.
Nellis Air Force Base held a Military Spouse Appreciation Day event May 11 to recognize the contributions of military spouses.
The event, hosted at the Nellis Club, included kiosks from base helping and support agencies, informative briefs, demonstrations and performances. Highlights included a Zumba aerobics course, free massages, Polynesian dancers, a Tae Kwon Do martial arts demonstration and prize giveaways.
Brig. Gen. select Steven Garland, 99th Air Base Wing commander, said the contributions of military spouses is invaluable to the Air Force mission, thanking them for the support they provide Airmen daily.
