The Nellis Military Clothing Store is stocking the rip-stop Airman Battle Uniform.

Nellis is one of the first installations to receive this high-demand item. The Rip-Stop ABU will be available for sale beginning at 9 a.m. on May 31.
 

Nellis Thrift Shop Sale:

Nellis Thrift Shop is having an Annual Clearance sale June 19 and 21 between 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. For more information, call the Thrift Shop at 644-3777.
 

40th Anniversary Aggressor Reunion, Fri-Sat, June 1-2:

For the first time, in commemoration of the 40th anniversary of the establishment of aggressor units at Nellis, the annual aggressor reunion will include all components of aggressor units, including air, ground, space, cyber and information aggressors. To highlight the occassion, the 57th Adversary Tactics Group will host a series of events, open to all with base access, including:

  • A Family “Burger Burn” at Freedom Park
  • Noon, Friday and Saturday – Guided tours of the Threat Training Facility (a.k.a. the “Petting Zoo”) – Friday, every 45 mins from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  • Flightline static displays of historic aggressor aircraft and threat systems, including T-38, F-5, F-15, F-16 jets plus SA-6 and SA-8 surface-to-air missile systems

Munitions Storage Area Closure:

The Munitions Storage Area will be closed for a wall-to-wall inventory, June 12-18. All issue requests were submitted by May 29. Munitions must be picked up and/or turned in no later than June 12. Emergency issue requests must be approved, in writing, by the Group Commander or equivalent. Scheduling errors that result in issue requests for daily use and training munitions are NOT considered an emergency situation. Contact Master Sgt. Ryland, Master Sgt. Yoder or Tech. Sgt. Memorial Run to honor fallen Airmen:

The “That Others May Live” foundation is hosting a Memorial Run in honor of the Pedro 66 Airmen who made the ultimate sacrifice.  Read below for event details:

Who can run? Anyone with base access can register for this event (Nellis, Creech and NTTR personnel are especially welcome.)

When is the run? Friday, June 8th from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. (The gun will sound at 7 a.m. sharp.)

Where is the starting location? The 58th Rescue Squadron in Area 2

Where can people register? Online at https://secure.acceptiva.com/?cst=db619c

What is the cost? $35 (The first 300 paid registrants will receive a free t-shirt.)

The TOML Memorial Run will include three different runs (1 mile fun run, 6.6k and a 6.6 mile) and participants will be divided into three categories (men, women and children). The top two male and female finishers, as well as the child who finishes in 1st place, will receive a medal. The Nellis Adversary Threat Training Facility:

The TTF is closed June 11-15, 2012, and June 29, 2012. As a reminder, the Nellis Adversary Threat Training Facility is open to anyone who has access to Nellis. Normal hours of operation are 7:15 a.m.- 4:15 p.m. Cameras are allowed in the facility.
