Tops in Blue:  The Tops in Blue will be performing downtown today, June 8. The performance will start at 8 p.m. at the Fremont Street Experience here in Las Vegas. For more information contact the community center at 652-5014.

 

Chapel Paintball: The base chapel is hosting a paintball event today, June 8. The event will take place between 5-10 p.m. at Extreme Paintball on Craig Road. Food, drink and rental equipment will be provided. Those needing a ride can meet at the base chapel at 4:30 p.m. For more information contact the base chapel at 652-2950.

 

Las Vegas Motor Speedway Event, June 8-10:  Expect traffic delays due to an event at the LV Motor Speedway June 8-10. Traffic will be especially affected in the areas of Craig Road and Las Vegas Blvd. Nellis AFB gate hours will not change. Contact 99th Security Forces Squadron with any questions at (702) 652-2311.

 

Dental Squadron Seeking Qualified Patients: The 99th Dental Squadron residency program is seeking patients requiring multiple dental specialties. Patients must present a need for two or more types of specialty care. Applicants must be a military retiree. If interested, please call Staff Sgt. Civil Air Patrol Encampment, June 24 – July 1:  The Nevada Wing Cadet Programs Section will hold its encampment June 24 – July 1, 2012 at Camp Stead, Nev., the former USAF Survival Training School. The encampment will include: military skills, confidence course, volley ball competition, military orientation flights, flightline orientation and tour, M-16 marksmanship, model rocketry and much more.  The Encampment Activity Fees are $225 with registration prior to June 15. CAP Basic Cadets are encouraged to register ASAP as space is limited. Fees cover billeting, meals, supplies, and equipment used at the encampment. In addition, cadets must bring a signed CAP Form 31 to encampment In-processing.  Applicants may register at http://2012nvwgencampment.eventbrite.com. Nellis Military Clothing Store:  The Nellis Military Clothing Store is stocking the rip-stop Airman Battle Uniform. Nellis is one of the first installations to receive this high-demand item. The Rip-Stop ABU is available now.

 

Nellis Thrift Shop Sale, June 19-21:  Nellis Thrift Shop is having an annual clearance sale June 19 and 21 between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.

 

The Nellis Adversary Threat Training Facility:  The TTF is closed June 11-15, 2012, and June 29, 2012. As a reminder, the Nellis Adversary Threat Training Facility is open to anyone who has access to Nellis. Normal hours of operation are 7:15 a.m. — 4:15 p.m. Cameras are allowed in the facility.

 

Munitions Storage Area Closure:  The Munitions Storage Area will be closed for a wall-to-wall inventory from June 12-18. Munitions must be picked up and/or turned in no later than June 12. Emergency issue requests must be approved, in writing, by the group commander or equivalent. Scheduling errors that result in issue requests for daily use and training munitions are not considered an emergency situation. Contact Master Sgt. Ryland, Master Sgt. Yoder or Tech. Sgt. Olive at Munitions Accountability, 652-1162/1286.
