HAMMONDSPORT, N.Y. — The U.S. Air Force Warfare Center Vice Commander was among four new inductees into the Hammondsport Central School Wall of Fame June 1.
Friends, relatives and community members gathered in Hammondsport, N.Y., to celebrate the induction of Brigadier General David Buck and David Ball into the Lifetime Achievement Wall of Fame, and Lori Bauer and Thomas Kressly Sr. into the Athletic Wall of Fame.
Buck graduated from HCS in 1977 and immediately enlisted in the U.S. Air Force. During his military career, Buck has served in many capacities including missile combat crew commander, speechwriter, Cape Canaveral
Air Force Station commander, and his current assignment as USAFWC vice commander as of June, 2011. He has also served on the Joint Staff as the principal military advisor to the Joint Chiefs of Staff for Coalition Management. Currently, Buck is a senior executive fellow at Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government.
