What does your job consist of?

My job is to ensure equipment custodians are properly maintaining accountability of in-use equipment assets issued to their squadron.

Why did you join the Air Force?

I joined the Air Force to serve my country, explore the world, and finish my education all at the same time.

What are your Air Force goals?

My Air Force goal is to obtain my bachelors degree, which I’m currently working on and half way finished with, and get commissioned.

Who is your role model?

My role models are my parents because they’ve shown me that I can achieve anything I put my mind to as long as I’m willing.

What is one thing you wish you were told when you joined the service?

The one thing I wish I was told when I joined is about educational CDCs.

What is your dream job and why?

I love children and my dream job is to be a neonatal nurse or a pediatrician.

If you won a million dollars, what is the first thing you would buy?

The first thing I would buy is a new home for my parents.

What motivates you at work?

Knowing that I come to work and make a difference with the help I can provide to my custodians and co-workers is my motivator.

Staff Sgt. Shoemo’s supervisor says:

“Staff Sgt. Shoemo is an outstanding equipment technician who gets equipment assets authorized and ordered to meet the unit mission requirements flawlessly. We are proud to have him on the team.”
