Your Care Questions Answered

The Mike O’Callaghan Federal Hospital, Nellis Air Force Base, Nevada.

Q: I would like to change my Primary Care Manger (PCM). How is this accomplished?

A: Visit the Triwest Service Center located in building 1305. Their walk in hours are Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m-4:30 p.m.; no appointment is necessary. If the requesting provider is available, the PCM can be switched immediately. For beneficiaries enrolled in Tricare Plus, contact the Tricare Office in Bldg 1305, or call 702-653-2129.

Extended Hours

As of May 30, the Immunization Clinic is open for extended hours, until 5:00 p.m. In addition, several of the Mike O’Callaghan Federal Medical Center’s primary care departments, including Pediatrics, Family and Internal Medicine, also have extended hours. This will increase the number of available appointments, which can be booked through the appointment line at 702-653-CARE (2273).

Patients with non-emergency concerns are encouraged to seek care through these additional appointments instead of using the Emergency Room, since they may encounter long waits and possibly overtax the resources of the ER, which is staffed and equipped to handle emergencies. Patients with emergency concerns should go to the ER, or call 911 for life-threatening emergencies.
