U.S. Air Force Capt. Joshua Masopust, 14th Fighter Squadron pilot, Misawa Air Force Base, Japan, conducts pre-flight inspection of an F-16 Fighting Falcon during Green Flag-West 12-8, which runs from June 8-22. The Green Flag-West exercise provides cutting-edge training for air-to-ground missions, bringing combat air forces units from the DOD and U.S. Allies together with ground force units at the National Training Center at Fort Irwin, Cal. The skills learned during the exercise improve the ability of joint and coalition forces to work together in an integrated way during combat deployments around the world.
