During the 2011 Retiree Appreciation Day at Nellis Air Force Base, Nev. Capt. Trent Buttars, 99th Dental Squadron resident dentist, performed an oral exam on retired U.S. Army Master Sgt. James Murphy More than 800 attendees received health screenings throughout the day at the Thunderbird hangar. This year’s event will be held Sept. 15, at the Thunderbird hangar.
NELLIS AIR FORCE BASE, Nev. — Nellis and Creech Air Force Bases, and the Nevada Test and Training Range, have announced the date for their annual Retiree Appreciation Day, which will be held Sept. 15. The event will once again be at the Thunderbird Hanger, 4445 Tyndall Avenue, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. The event is open to all retirees of all services and their guests. There will be a variety of booths with military-affiliated organizations, plus representatives to discuss Veterans Affairs issues, finance, Space available travel, health service information. An explosive ordnance demonstration and display is also planned and the Nellis Fire Department will also provide displays. As planning continues, more participating vendors will be announced.
