The NASCAR Camping World Truck Series, formerly the NASCAR Super Truck Series, is a pickup truck racing series owned and operated by the National Association for Stock Car Auto Racing. Cornish was selected to be the honorary race starter.

Members of the Nellis Air Force Base Honor Guard post the colors during the national anthem at the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series Smith’s 350 Sep. 29, 2012, in Las Vegas. A function of the honor guard is to provide their services for opening ceremonies for appropriate events attended by the general public. The Smith’s 350 is a 220 miles NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race that takes place at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.
