Flu Vaccinations: The 99th Medical Operations Squadron Immunization Clinic has the flu vaccine. The clinic will hold a walk-in clinic in the hospital’s main lobby for all active-duty service members. Shots will also be offered from 7:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the base theater to active-duty service members through Oct. 19. Everyone else requiring the vaccination can schedule a time at the immunization clinic Pediatric doses will also be available for children at the theater. Gate Changes: Effective Oct. 1, the Range Road gate no longer conduct commercial vehicle searches or issue base passes. All commercial traffic are rerouted to the Area II commercial gate for inspection and all visitors will be processed at the Main Gate Visitor Center 24/7. The Hollywood and VA gates are closed until further notice. Traffic that would normally use the Hollywood gate can use the Tyndall, Main, or Area II gates, while traffic for the Mike O’Callaghan Federal Medical Center should use the Range Road gate.

Deployed Spouses supporting Deployed Spouses: Stay strong during deployments and meet with other deployed spouses. Share ideas, learn coping skills, socialize and more. Meetings are held at the Airman and Family Readiness Center from 11 a.m. to noon the first and third Monday of each month.

Move forward in 2012: The 99th Physical and Occupational Therapy Clinic will sponsor an open house to celebrate National Physical Therapy Month from 1 – 4:30 p.m. today. Physical and occupational therapists and technicians will demonstrate clinical treatments and discuss specialized prevention education highlighting the benefits of conservative therapy. Halloween Pumpkin Patrol: The 99th Security Forces Squadron is seeking volunteers for the 2012 Halloween Pumpkin Patrol. Those willing to participate must wear the Airman Battle Uniform with an operational flashlight. Those interested in volunteering or for more information about the Pumpkin Patrol contact Tech. Sgt. Jared Johnson or Staff Sgt. Brant Stoke. The deadline for volunteers is close of business Oct. 26.

Deployment Campout: The Youth Center will hold a deployment campout from 8 p.m. – 8 a.m. on Oct. 26 – 27 at the Youth Center Sports Field. The event will hold deployment activities, team building and camp fire entertainment. Bring your sleeping bag. The event is $15 for children ages 9-14 with a current activity card, and $20 for non-activity card holders. For more information on the event contact 652-9307.

National Disability Employment Awareness Lunch: A lunch will be held for National Disability Employment Awareness Month 11:30 a.m. on Oct. 29 at Freedom Park on Nellis Air Force Base, Nev. in celebration of the many contributions of America’s workers with disabilities.
