NELLIS AIR FORCE BASE, Nev. — Nellis activities have increased as the installation flurries around prepping for the largest military open house in the State of Nevada, which will be held during the Veteran’s Day weekend, Nov. 10-11.

Traffic will increase around Nellis during next weekend as attendees drive to the Las Vegas Motor Speedway — north of the installation — to ride the buses to the installation to spend the day enjoying the camaraderie of Nellis Airmen, and see some of the spectacular aerial demonstrations planned for the weekend.

General admission and public parking at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway for this annual Nellis Open House are free. Free round-trip shuttle bus transportation to and from Nellis AFB will also be available. A handicapped parking area will be designated at the Speedway, and handicapped-accessible shuttle buses will be provided

Gates will open at 9 a.m. with opening ceremony and national anthem at 10:30 a.m. Flying demonstrations will perform from 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and include the following, listed in order of performance:
