Possible delays on base May 16: On Thursday May 16, Nellis Air Force Base will conduct a basewide exercise beginning at 4 p.m. Due to an increased security posture and the implementation of the barrier plan, it is anticipated that there will be significant traffic delays on base. Many intersections may be blocked and exiting and entering the base may be restricted. All personnel not participating in the exercise are strongly encouraged to complete activities on the base by the start of the exercise. The Base Exchange, Commissary and other services will be open as normal. However, personnel can expect ID checks and other security measures to be implemented at these locations. We encourage all personnel on Nellis AFB after 4 p.m. on May 16 to be patient and plan for delays. We appreciate your support and dedication to our training mission.
