NASC announces scholarship recipients

Nellis Area Spouses Club

NELLIS AIR FORCE BASE, Nev. — The Nellis Area Spouses’ Club announced the 2012-2013 scholarship recipients May 14.
The following high school students received the NASC scholarship:

  • Jenna Galyon , Green Valley High School
  • Andrew Haug , Advanced Technologies Academy
  • Tia Johnson, Legacy High School
  • Joshua Klimchak, Advanced Technologies Academy
  • Brett McPherson, College of Southern Nevada High School
  • Shasta Percival, Advanced Technologies Academy
  • Courtney Rempel, Shadow Ridge High School
  • Alyssa Rose, Las Vegas Academy
  • Alisa Tinkham, Valley High School
  • Jordyn Wilson, Las Vegas Academy
  • Samuel Waller, Advanced Technologies Academy

The following active duty spouses received the NASC scholarship:

  • Martina Cade
  • Erin Calahan
  • Melissa Fisher
  • Christopher Heidema
  • Leonila Lotoc
  • Brandi Olive
  • Stephanie Swenson

“The Nellis Area Spouses’ Club Thrift Shop worked very hard over the past year raising money for the NASC scholarships,” said Kathy King, NASC president. “The group was able to give out 18 scholarships this year which is a new all-time high [for us]. We are giving out scholarships to seven active duty spouses and eleven dependent high school graduating seniors.”
