Airmen participate in local Independence Day celebrations

Members of the Nellis Air Force Base Honor Guard march during the 19th Annual Summerlin Council Independence Day Parade July 4 in Las Vegas. The honor guard represents the Air Force in ceremonial functions in southern Nevada, some areas of California, Arizona and Utah.

Volunteers from the Summerlin community participate in the 19th Annual Summerlin Council Independence Day Parade July 4 in Las Vegas. Organizations from southern Nevada participated in the event to celebrate the birth of the nation and, according to the event organizers raise morale in the community.

An Airman from the 432nd Maintenance Squadron, Las Vegas, watches a fireworks display during an Independence Day celebration July 4 at the Las Vegas Country Club. Airmen from the 432nd AMXS and other units, to include the 99th Ground Combat Training Squadron and the 99th Civil Engineer Squadron Explosive Ordnance Disposal flight, attended the event and educated the public about their mission while enjoying food, music and fireworks.
