Ask the Doc

doctor
Q. I have a concern with my care at Mike O’Callaghan Federal Medical Center I would like to address. What is the process for this?

A. Currently every section involved in patient care has a Patient Advocate. There is a list of all the section Patient Advocates available after selecting the Hospital tab on the Nellis Homepage or http://www.nellis.af.mil. You will see a list of Patient Advocates at the bottom of the page. Please utilize this list prior to contacting the MDG Patient Advocate.

Q. I had an appointment today on base at the Mike O’Callaghan Federal Medical Center. I would like to leave a comment about my experience. What’s the process for this?

A. You can go online to ICE (Interactive Customer Evaluation) and fill out an electronic comment card. ICE allows DOD customers to rate products and services provided by Department of Defense offices and facilities worldwide. Your comment card ratings are used to improve the products and services available to you. To use this service please log on to http://ice.disa.mil, select Nellis AFB, then Health, and then the clinic or area you are evaluating.  You can also fill out a paper copy comment card which is located at every clinic in the hospital. Be sure to ask the front desk of the clinic for more information.

Send your questions to askthedoc@nellis.af.mil.

WHITEMAN AIR FORCE BASE, Mo. — As we recognize Women’s History Month this March, I am struck by the thought that heroes and role models do not have to be one single person but, in fact, can be several people. For me, this truth is especially relevant. During World War II, many women opted to...
