EFMP Parent Support Group: Share common experiences unique to special needs families and learn about new information and resources. We meet the third Wednesday of every month at the Airman and Family Readiness Center.

Sept. 2-8: The 57th Maintenance Squadron munitions storage area will be closed for a wall-to-wall inventory: All issue requests must be submitted no later than Aug. 26, and emergency issue requests must be approved in writing by the group commander or equivalent. Scheduling errors that that result in issue requests for daily use and training munitions are not considered emergencies. For more information, contact Master Sgt. Erik Ryland, Master Sgt. Aug. 20 and 22: School Immunizations and Sports Physicals: The 99th Medical Operations Squadron will be providing school immunizations and sports physicals to Tricare Prime patients age 6 to 17 years old 4-6 p.m. at the Mike O’Callaghan Federal Medical Center. Patients can call the appointment line at (702) 653-2273 to schedule an appointment. Walk-ins will not be accepted.

Aug. 19-22: Eastern Seals Nevada Veterans/Spouses Workshop: This professional workshop will provide support to veterans, active duty and spouses with the continuing struggle of finding a job in today’s economy. It will 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the CSN High Tech Center located at 4601 W. Bonanza Rd. The workshop will cover computer skills, resume writing, applying online, interviewing skills, mock interviews and guest speakers. Sept. 6: 4th Annual Enlisted Combat Dining-In: The 4th annual Enlisted Combat Dining-In will is Sept. 6 at Freedom Park. Come take part in the festivities, tickets will be available for pre-sale mid-July through September. E1-E4 – $5; E5-E6 – $10; E7-E9 – $15.

Sept. 21: 2013 Air Force Ball: Is scheuled to begin at 6 p.m. at the South Point Hotel and Casino. Live music and dancing, buffet-syle dinners and desserts, carving stations, discounted hotel rooms, and more to celebrate 66 years of Air Force heritage. Sept. 27: Rhino Booster Club 5th Annual Golf Tournament: Check-in begins at 7:30 a.m. at the Sunrise Vista Golf Course with the tournament starting at 8:30 a.m. Cost is $60 and only $50 for enlisted.
