Deployed Spouses supporting Deployed Spouses: Stay strong during deployments and meet with other deployed spouses. Share ideas, learn coping skills, socialize and more. Meetings are held at the Airman and Family Readiness Center from 11 a.m. to noon the first and third Monday of each month. For more information call (702) 652-3327.

Combined Federal Campaign: It’s that time a year again. The 2013 Combined Federal Campaign has begun. The CFC is scheduled to run from Sept. 1 to Dec. 15 across Nellis and Creech Air Force Base’s. Anyone interested in donating to the CFC may donate online at http://www.cfcnca.org/ or contact one of the representatives listed below.

Sept. 20: 57th Wing blood drive: The 57th Wing is hosting a blood drive Sept. 20 at the Outdoor Recreation Center, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. To schedule an appointment to donate blood go to www.unitedbolldservices.org and enter sponsor code Nellis or email donald.arthur@nellis.af.mil.

Sept. 21: 2013 Air Force Ball: The 2013 Air Force Ball starts at 6 p.m. at the South Point Hotel and Casino. Live music and dancing, buffet-syle dinners and desserts, carving stations, discounted hotel rooms, and more to celebrate 66 years of Air Force heritage. Sept. 26: Pro body builders meet and greet: Pro body builders will be visiting Nellis for a meet and greet 11:30 a.m., Sept. 26 at the Exchange. Visitors will have the opportunity to meet pro body builders Callie Bundy, Roman Fritz and Antoine Vaillant and can attend a 1 p.m. workout session at the Warrior Fitness Center with them.

Sept. 27: Rhino Booster Club 5th Annual Golf Tournament: Check-in begins at 7:30 a.m. at the Sunrise Vista Golf Course with the tournament starting at 8:30 a.m. Cost is $60 and only $50 for enlisted. Family and friends are invited to join.
