Airmen practice response procedures during Plan 6 exercise

Before extracting trapped people from a rolled-over car, first responders are required to ensure the vehicle no longer has the potential to cause further injury.

The scenario was an aircraft had an inflight emergency and broke up on the way down. Parts of the aircraft “hit” vehicles driving on Range Road. The exercise tested Airmen, contractors and civilians in their response to a major aircraft incident.
