EFMP Parent Support Group: Share common experiences unique to special needs families and learn about new information and resources. We meet the third Wednesday of every month at the Airman and Family Readiness Center.

Deployed Spouses supporting Deployed Spouses: Stay strong during deployments and meet with other deployed spouses. Share ideas, learn coping skills, socialize and more. Meetings are held at the Airman and Family Readiness Center from 11 a.m. to noon the first and third Monday of each month. For more information, call (702) 652-3327.

Combined Federal Campaign: It’s that time a year again. The 2013 Combined Federal Campaign has begun. This year, CFC runs through Dec. 15 across Nellis and Creech Air Force Bases. Anyone interested in donating to the CFC may donate online at http://www.cfcnca.org/ or contact one of the representatives listed below.

Sept. 27: Rhino Booster Club 5th Annual Golf Tournament: Check-in begins at 7:30 a.m. at the Sunrise Vista Golf Course with the tournament starting at 8:30 a.m. Cost is $60 and only $50 for enlisted. Family and friends are invited to join. Oct. 3: Nellis A&FRC Financial Education Seminar: Are you looking to improve your knowledge on finance? The Nellis A&FRC is holding a Financial Education Seminar 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Nellis Base Theater. Discussion topics will include budgeting, saving and goal setting, credit and ID theft, basic investing and home buying. To register, call (702) 652-3327.

Oct. 5: Wounded Warrior Amputee Softball Team Double-header: Nellis Air Force Base welcomes the nationally known Wounded Warrior Amputee Softball Team when they play a Double-header against Nellis colonels, chief master sergeants, first sergeants and other active duty members at Freedom Park. Opening ceremonies begin at 12:30 p.m. with games running 1 to 3 p.m. Some seating will be available but attendees may bring their own chairs. For more information, contact Master Sgt.
