EFMP Parent Support Group

Share common experiences unique to special needs families and learn about new information and resources. We meet the third Wednesday of every month at the Airman and Family Readiness Center.

Deployed Spouses supporting Deployed Spouses: Stay strong during deployments and meet with other deployed spouses. Share ideas, learn coping skills, socialize and more. Meetings are held at the Airman and Family Readiness Center 11 a.m. to noon the first and third Monday of each month. For more information call (702) 652-3327.

Combined Federal Campaign: It’s that time a year again. The 2013 Combined Federal Campaign runs through Dec. 15 across Nellis and Creech Air Force Base’s. Anyone interested in donating to the CFC may donate online at http://www.cfcnca.org/ or contact one of the representatives listed below.

New Nellis lodging  rates: Nellis lodging will charge new rates starting Oct. 1. The new rates include $56.00 for visiting officer quarters, $42.25 for visiting Airman quarters, $60.50 for temporary lodging facilities, $63.75 for large TLFs, $58.75 for distinguished VOQs, $44.75 for distinguished VAQs and $61.50 for large distinguished VQs.

The legal office expands appointment availability: The legal office has expanded its appointment availability to better serve you. Appointments are now available 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., and 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., Monday through Thursday, and 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., Friday. Due to the expanded appointment availability, walk-in hours are no longer available. To book an appointment, call the legal assistance phone line at (702) 652-7531.

Oct. 21: Town Hall meeting: There will be a Town Hall meeting to discuss the creation of an on-base charter school 6 p.m., Oct. 21 at the Base Theatre. Parents are highly encouraged to attend.
