Bullseye’s 40th Anniversary

Civilians operated at Nellis to augment the military force. Today, as part of the U.S. Air Force Warfare Center, units at Nellis continue to provide training for composite strike forces that include every type of aircraft in the Air Force inventory.

An F/A-22 Raptor is marshaled in by Tech.Sgt. Greg Auzenne, 57th Raptor Squadron crew chief July 9, 2003, at Nellis Air Force Base, Nev. The Raptor was flown to Nellis from the factory by Maj. David Thole, an operational test pilot from the 422nd Test and Evaluation Squadron. This brings the number of F-22s at Nellis to four.
