Airmen participate in annual load crew competition

Tech. Sgt. Staff Sgt. Seven load crews competed against one another to determine which crew could correctly load weapons on to their respective aircraft the fastest.

Staff Sgt. Shane, Staff Sgt. Nicholas and Airman 1st Class Curtis, 432nd Aircraft Maintenance Squadron weapons loaders, align an inert GBU-12 Paveway II laser-guided bomb for loading onto an MQ-9 Reaper remotely piloted aircraft Jan. 17 during the 432nd Maintenance Group Load Crew of the Year competition. Weapons load crew competitions take place quarterly and annually to build camaraderie and allow Airmen to showcase superior performance.

Load crew competitions are held four times a year in addition to an annual competition to determine the best load crew of the year. The winning team will be announced at the Maintenance Professional of the Year Banquet.
