Airmen participate in annual load crew competition

Tech. Sgt. Load crew competitions take place every quarter as well as annually.

Staff Sgt. Seven load crews competed against one another to determine which crew could correctly load weapons on to their respective aircraft the fastest.

Staff Sgt. Shane, Staff Sgt. Nicholas and Airman 1st Class Curtis, 432nd Aircraft Maintenance Squadron weapons loaders, align an inert GBU-12 Paveway II laser-guided bomb for loading onto an MQ-9 Reaper remotely piloted aircraft Jan. 17 during the 432nd Maintenance Group Load Crew of the Year competition. Weapons load crew competitions take place quarterly and annually to build camaraderie and allow Airmen to showcase superior performance.

Nellis Air Force Base Airmen watch as weapons load crews from the 57th and 757th Aircraft Maintenance Squadrons compete in the annual weapons load crew competition on the flightline Jan. 17 at Nellis AFB, Nev. The load crew competitions ensure Airmen maintain their skills while also promoting competition and camaraderie among the squadrons. Load crew competitions are held four times a year in addition to an annual competition to determine the best load crew of the year. The winning team will be announced at the Maintenance Professional of the Year Banquet.
