SFS defender receives Diamond Sharp Award

Staff Sgt. Peter Ferrer, 99th Security Forces Squadron patrolman, makes a call from his patrol car radio Jan. 21 at Nellis Air Force Base, Nev. Ferrer was the Diamond Sharp Award recipient for December 2013. Some of Ferrer’s accomplishments include leading an Airman to the Security Forces Top Defender Award, training a 99th Air Base Wing Life of a Warrior team garnering a second place finish, completing three credit hours toward his Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice and holding the American Flag during the National Anthem at the Royal Purple Las Vegas Bowl.
