Airmen participate in speedway events, ceremonies

The Nellis Air Force Base Honor Guard present the colors while the U.S. Air Force Air Demonstration Squadron, Thunderbirds, perform a fly over during the opening ceremony of the Kobalt 400 NASCAR race March 9 at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway in Las Vegas. The Nellis AFB Honor Guard performs approximately 1,100 details annually and the Thunderbirds perform air shows throughout the year leading up to their last performance at Nellis AFB.
