Desert Lightning News – Nellis Creech Flipbook
This week, we continue our series on the sunsetting of the MQ-1 Predator aircraft. Our front-page story looks at the aircraft retirement process and shares information on the final destinations of some of these high tech machines. Some have arrived at museums, and one will be on display at Luke AFB during their Luke Days event next weekend. In other news, the 2018 Wounded Warrior Trials recently wrapped up at Nellis AFB. Airmen who successfully competed in their sporting events will now move on to the Air Force’s Warrior Games team, which will compete June 2-9, in Colorado Springs. You can read more on page 3. As always, we have some nice photo features for you, including the welcome home for members of the 66th Rescue Squadron and 823rd Maintenance Squadron (pages 10 and 11) and a look at HH-60 Pave Hawk training exercises at NTTR (page 5). All this, along with community news and events, are right here for you in this week’s issue of Desert Lightning News! Hard copies of the paper are available on Nellis, Creech and throughout Las Vegas Friday now. Pick one up when you’re out and about. It’s our privilege to serve you – have a great week!
