Red Flag: Then, now

During the Vietnam War (1962-1973) the U.S. Air Force lost approximately 1,737 aircraft in combat. It was a number that was unacceptable and an area that the Air Force knew it needed to improve on.

US Navy veterans from USS Nevada (BB-36) visit Nellis

Nearly 100 years after the battleship USS Nevada was commissioned, March 11, 1916, five of the dozen still-living Sailors assigned to the ship during World War II came to Las Vegas for the ship’s reunion. The veterans were welcomed by the Las Vegas Navy Operational Support Center staff Feb. 9.
