Northrop Grumman receives Small Business Partner of the Year Award

Northrop Grumman’s Information Systems sector has received the Small Business Partner of the Year Award from the Small and Emerging Contractors Advisory Forum for the company’s ongoing commitment and support of small businesses.

The Fourth Annual SECAF awards honor small and emerging government contractors and other companies in the industry that rely on small businesses. The Small Business Partner of the Year is awarded to a Washington, D.C., metropolitan area company that has established and actively supported mentorships, teaming, partnerships and other beneficial programs for small and emerging contractors. Northrop Grumman’s award was in the category for companies with revenue of more than $100 million.

“Our partnerships with small businesses help us to provide our customers with innovative and value-added solutions,” said Cynthia Hyland, vice president of contracts, pricing and supply chain for Northrop Grumman Information Systems. “Small businesses are vital to the growth and continued excellence of our industry.”

Northrop Grumman Information Systems’ Socioeconomic Business Program has provided numerous subcontracting opportunities to small businesses including disadvantaged, women-owned, veteran-owned, service-disabled veteran-owned and small businesses located in Historically Underutilized Business Zones. Small businesses account for nearly half of all subcontracting activities at Northrop Grumman Information Systems.
