Panetta discusses impact of sequestration

Defense Secretary Leon E. Panetta met with members of the Aerospace Industries Association, National Defense Industrial Association, and Professional Services Council in Arlington, Va., July 23, 2012. The group discussed the impact should Congress fail to agree by January on an alternative to a provision of budget law that would mandate an additional $500 billion in defense budget cuts over the next decade.
