SAE International to host counterfeit parts avoidance symposium

The increase of counterfeit parts entering the supply chain is causing serious challenges for aerospace and defense manufacturers on a global level.

To address this critical time-sensitive issue, SAE International and TTI, Inc. have partnered to present the first “SAE 2012 Counterfeit Parts Avoidance Symposium.” This powerful one-day educational and networking event will be Nov. 2, 2012, in Phoenix, Ariz.

Attendees will discuss the challenges of this issue through an open forum environment and learn about the negative impact that counterfeit electronic parts are having on business, and the current processes in place to mitigate this growing problem.

The premier sponsor of the symposium is TTI, Inc., headquartered in Fort Worth, Texas. TTI is recognized as the leading global authorized distributor of passive, connector, electromechanical and discrete components.

The symposium will also feature a keynote address and panel discussions from top thought leaders within the industry, government and military segments as well as technical sessions focusing on identification, risk assessment, avoidance protocols, test methodologies and compliance.
