Plane Crazy Saturday set for Sept. 22

The September Plane Crazy Saturday will feature display and flying on remote control model aircraft by the Murac Model Masters.

These can be very serious “models” with wingspans up to about six feet. They normally fly from their airfield located at the north end of Rosamond Dry Lake at Edwards Air Force Base, Calif. Some interesting full size aircraft have also said they will be at Plane Crazy.

Mojave Transportation Museum invites all to this free day at the Mojave Air and Space Port, 9 a.m.-1 p.m., Sept. 22. Tour the many airplanes that fly in for this monthly event, see the aviation and space art collectables, posters, patches and T-shirts, and memorabilia. For private pilots, get your tax-exempt forms signed.

There will be free tram rides to the T-Hangers by Alan Radecki. Bring the kids! Bring a camera! And the Burt Rutan Rocket Fuel hot sauce is always available.
