Northrop Grumman signs technology development teaming agreement with Flight Technologies Sistemas

A unit of Northrop Grumman has executed a teaming agreement with Flight Technologies Sistemas S/A to develop national security technologies for Brazil.

Northrop Grumman Overseas Service Corporation and Flight Technologies Sistemas S/A will team on security solutions for Brazil’s integrated border monitoring system.

The system is designed to monitor Brazil’s borders through an integrated system of land-based radars, communications systems and unmanned air systems to detect smuggling, terrorism and drug trafficking activity in its border regions.

“Northrop Grumman and Flight Technologies Sistemas have developed C4ISR solutions for some of the world’s most challenging environments,” said Ed Bush, vice president of Northrop Grumman’s C4ISR Networked Systems business unit. “We look forward to putting that expertise to work to help Brazil maintain its border security through the SISFRON program.”

“This agreement with Northrop Grumman will leverage our ability to expand the portfolio of locally developed strategic products and systems, in response to our country’s growing demands in the fields of C4ISR, unmanned aerial systems and avionics systems,” said Nei Brasil, co-founder and president, Flight Technologies Sistemas S/A.

Flight Technologies Sistemas S/A is a leading Brazilian company providing state-of-the-art solutions and systems in aeronautics, command, control and intelligence to the Brazilian government.
