Phyre GOBIGGS(tm) system selected for UH-60 Black Hawk demo

Phyre Technologies, Inc. has been selected by Sikorsky Aircraft to build and demonstrate a Green On-Board Inert Gas Generating Systems(tm) system for the UH-60 Black Hawk, as part of the AATD Combat Tempered Platform Demonstration program.

Phyre’s GOBIGGS(tm) is an environmentally friendly, catalytically based fuel tank inerting system designed to significantly reduce fuel tank vulnerability to explosion and thereby increase survivability of the UH-60 in forward operations.

“We are honored by the trust that both Sikorsky Aircraft and AATD have put in GOBIGGS(tm) and Phyre,” said Stuart Robertson, Phyre’s CEO. “After our successful demonstration at NAWS China Lake, Calif., last fall, this venture with Sikorsky is a natural next step in the maturation of GOBIGGS(tm).” “Over the past six-years, Phyre has invested substantial resources in the design and development of GOBIGGS(tm) as a next-generation fuel tank system, which will replace older and less efficient technology – for fuel tank inerting in both military and civilian aircraft.”
