Santa’s got a new reindeer . . . And it answers to Hercules

Members of the U.S. Navy Flight Demonstration Squadron, the Blue Angels, visited the Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Co., site in Marietta, Gl., Dec. 3 to pick up two pallets of toys to deliver to children impacted by Hurricane Sandy in New York and New Jersey. The toys were loaded into the Blue Angelsí C-130 Hercules cargo plane (known as ìFat Albertî) that was built here and delivered to Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, N.J. The Blue Angels collected more than 900 toys here, which were donated by employees and Lockheed Martin. About half of these toys are science, technology, engineering and math-focused in support Lockheed Martinís corporate philanthropy commitment to STEM education outreach. This is the third year Lockheed Martin has partnered with the Blue Angels to support Toys for Tots. The mission also included a toy collection stop at Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport.
