Phillip Wade promoted to vice president of business development for Titeflex Aerospace

Titeflex Aerospace, a Smiths Group company and leading manufacturer of fluid transfer hoses and assemblies for the Aerospace industry, promotes Phillip Wade to vice president of Business Development.

In this position, Wade will lead the Titeflex efforts to identify new product development opportunities and new markets for existing products. Wade will report to Graham Thomson, general manager, Titeflex Aerospace.

Wade joined Titeflex Oct. 2, 2000. Prior to his promotion Wade managed Titeflex Quality and research and development groups.

Phillip is a leader within the SAE Aerospace community. His development team at Titeflex produced the world standard AS1424 Metal Hose and AS5951/ABS1335 Kevlar high pressure hose, said Thomson. We are confident that his experience, innovation and drive will support our goals to align and collaborate with major OEMs and aggressively go after new markets.

Wade has extensive experience in aerospace previously working as chief, Mission Success Group, for Lockheed Martin and project auality manager for UTC. In previous roles, he has been part of the project team for space launch systems including the shuttle, Titan, D-5 and Peacekeeper. He has worked with virtually all major aerospace OEMs including Airbus, Boeing General Electric, UTC and Rolls-Royce.
