Navy celebrates 100th AARGM delivery

Rear Adm. Mat Winter speaks at the 100th Advanced Anti-Radiation Guided Missile delivery event Aug. 5 at the Naval Air Weapons Station in China Lake, Calif. Less than a year ago, the Navy awarded a Full Rate Production contract to ATK for the production of the missiles for the U.S. Navy and Italian Air Force. AARGM is a medium range, supersonic air-launched tactical missile used to defeat multiple countermeasures that have been developed by U.S. adversaries since its predecessor, the High Speed Anti-Radiation Missile, was deployed in the 1980’s.
