Turning Aviation Into Reality coming to Compton, Calif.

The Turning Aviation Into Realityí airplane fly-in and model aircraft expo is scheduled for Sept. 14 at the Compton Airport ñ 1017 Alondra Boulevard, Compton, Calif.

Games open and fly-ins begin at 9 a.m., the model aircraft expo runs 10 a.m.-2:45 p.m., and the gates close at 3 p.m.

The event is hosted by Chapter 96 of the Experimental Aircraft Association.

Admission is $3, and children under 10 are free. Parking is also free.

Flight simulators will be available along with glider assembly and flying for kids under 10,î said an EAA spokesperson. ìWatch banner tow demonstrations, take off and landings†and visit airplanes. Talk to pilots with autograph sessions. Learn about aviation and flying. Vendors and hobby sales booths will be on the flightline.

Lunch and refreshments will be available.
