Aerojet Rocketdyne welcomes Tyler Evans as VP of Defense Advanced Programs

Aerojet Rocketdyne, a GenCorp company, announced Jan. 20 that Tyler Evans will join the company as vice president of its “Rocket Shop” Defense Advanced Programs unit.

In this role, Evans primarily will be responsible for providing strategic guidance and leadership, and driving the process improvements needed to execute a diverse portfolio of defense-related new product developments. He will continue to maintain the momentum needed to deliver innovative, affordable and enabling solutions to Aerojet Rocketdyne customers.

Evans previously spent more than 20 years with Pratt & Whitney, most recently as executive director of International Programs and Business Development for Pratt & Whitney’s Military Engines division.
“I’m thrilled to bring Tyler’s expertise on board to lead the development of advanced technologies and identify new opportunities for us in the aerospace and defense industry,” said Paul Meyer, Aerojet Rocketdyne senior vice president of Advanced Programs & Business Development. “Tyler’s strategic mindset, coupled with his extensive background in business development, program management and strong customer relationships, are just what our company needs to continue our diversified growth over the next decade.”

Evans holds a Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Engineering from Virginia Tech and a Master of Science in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering from Princeton University. Additionally, Evans received dual Master’s degrees in 2004 – one in Business Administration from Purdue University’s Krannert School of Business and the other in International Business from ESCP-EAP European School of Management inParis, France.
