STEM Academy

Discovery School, a K-8 public school in the Lancaster School District, will be accepting applications for their 6th-8th grade STEM Academy for the 2014/2015 school year Jan. 28-March 7.†All students take two electives. In PLTW Gateway, students study engineering, fly rockets,
study robotics and programming, build small solar cars, create Rube Goldberg machines, and draw 3D computer models which they can then print on the school’s 3D printer, among many other exciting and challenging tasks. The AVID elective is designed to prepare students for college.

A parent information night will be held 6-7 p.m., Jan 28 in the Discovery cafeteria. The school is located at 44910 17th Street East in Lancaster.
