Royal Australian Air Force touches down for Red Flag 14-1

A Royal Australian Air Force 77th Squadron F/A-18 Hornet prepares to land Jan. 23 at Nellis Air Force Base, Nev. The RAAF is at Nellis to participate in Red Flag 14-1 Jan. 27 to Feb. 14. Red Flag 14-1 is an air-to-air combat training exercise in the skies over the Nevada Test and Training Range. The purpose of the exercise is to increase the combat capability of U.S. and allied air forces for future combat situations.

The RAAF will participate in Red Flag 14-1 Jan. 27 to Feb. 14. Red Flag 14-1 is an exercise where that U.S. and is allied practice air-to-air combat scenarios over the Nevada Test and Training Range. These exercises will prepare participants for potential future real-world combat situations.
