Sassano, with Platoon 4015, Oscar Company, 4th Recruit Training Battalion, Marine Corps Recruit Depot Parris Island, S.C., earned the company’s highest physical fitness and combat fitness score. Sassano, a native of Santa Clarita, Calif., earned a score of 599 out of 600 points and graduated boot camp May 1, 2015.
