Tour de Irwin
The Tour de Irwin is a 41-mile, 10-mile and 2.5-mile bicycle race around Fort Irwin tomorrow. All are welcome to participate or cheer on competitors. Registration is $25 and $15 for children 12 and under. Registration is available at Outdoor Recreation, Freedom and Memorial fitness centers, and Coyote Activity Center. For more information, call 380-4327.
Easter activities
Fort Irwin will offer a variety of Easter activities this weekend. Tomorrow from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Shockwave will host an all-you-can-eat Easter buffet for $7.95 per person. Call 380-8646 for more information. On Saturday, there will be an underwater Easter egg hunt at Oasis Pool for children ages 3-16. Cost is $2. Call 380-3046 or 380-4588 for more information. On Sunday, there will be an Easter brunch at Reggie’s from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. For reservations or more information, call 380-6717. An Easter sunrise service will be held Sunday at 8 a.m. at Center Chapel.
Youth technology expo
The youth technology expo will be held from 1-4 p.m. Wednesday at the gym in Bldg. 1313. Students can display their own science, technology and 4H projects. Presentations and displays from technology organizations and companies including Xerox and NASA will be on hand. All are welcome. For more information, call 380-2045 or 380-5816.
Skeet and trap competition and BBQ
Outdoor Recreation will hold a skeet and trap competition on Wednesday from 4:30-7 p.m. at the skeet range on Goldstone Road. Cost is $30 and includes a barbecue meal. Registration is available at Outdoor Recreation, Bldg. 4100, on Goldstone Road. For more information, call 380-4327.
