Paul Barnes receives an award from Col. Kurt Pinkerton, Garrison commander, after completing the sixth annual Tour de Irwin bicycle race April 7. Barnes, a retired chief warrant officer, returned to the race this year after a fall during last year’s race nearly ended his life.
