Fort Irwin Safety Alert: Vehicle Fatality

30 April 2012: POV accident claims the life of a Fort Irwin Family Member and seriously injures a Soldier and Civilian Contractor. Inital reports indicate that distracted driving may have contributed to the cause of the accident.

AVOID THESE COMMON DISTRACTORS:

  • Talking/Texting while driving
  • Reaching for objects inside the vehicle
  • Fatgue, stress and strong emotons
  • Reading a map or other documents while driving
